Do you have an EAP?  If so, this might be a good time for organisations with an Employee Assistance Programme to remind staff of what it is and how to access it.

Here’s a quick script you can cut and paste into an email to employees:

Dear colleagues,


We’d like to draw your attention to our Employee Assistance Programme, or EAP.  This service, available to all staff, is designed to help people through difficult moments in their lives – be they professional or personal.  


If you find you need someone to talk to, or guidance through a difficult time, please don’t hesitate to access this service.  It is independent, confidential and completely free of charge.
